UW Bothell professor wins distinguished teaching award

Janelle Silva is the recipient of the University of Washington Bothell’s 2016 Distinguished Teaching Award. Silva is an assistant professor of community psychology in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. She came to UW Bothell in 2012 and has a doctorate from the University of California, Santa Cruz in social psychology with an emphasis in feminist theory.

Windermere to host recycling event in Lynnwood

Windermere Real Estate/North is teaming up with non-profit Friendly Earth to help neighbors recycle difficult items including confidential data disposal. Large appliances, car batteries, cell phones, computers, monitors, printers, televisions, stereos, ink cartridges, medical equipment and scrap metal will all be accepted at this free event between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at 4211 Alderwood Mall Blvd., Lynnwood.
