Her lack of a digital footprint makes her extremely valuable. When she graduates, she’s auctioned to the highest bidder.

The gift and kitchen shop at 2615 Colby Ave, Everett, hosts Roper who will talk about and sign copies of her new cookbook, “Fresh Tastes: From A Well-Seasoned Kitchen.” The book includes 173 recipes, color photos and preparation illustrations.

The award-winning author and world-renowned naturalist will read from his new book of poetry, “Chinook and Chanterelle.” Pyle, an eclectic author of field guides, fiction, natural history essays, poetry and memoir, captures luminous moments of the natural world and its cycles of life, death, and rebirth. Book signing and refreshments follow.
