D’Souza to speak
Conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza will headline the Snohomish County Republican Party’s major fundraising event Friday. D’Souza will be the keynote speaker at the Lincoln Day dinner in the Lynnwood Convention Center. Lunchtime with the mayor: Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson is holding an informal lunchtime discussion with community members Monday, April 25, from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Branch of the Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way. The mayor uses these bimonthly events to update residents and business owners on various plans and events in the city and give people a chance to ask questions or talk in a less formal setting. Little Bear Creek protection: Snohomish County is inviting anyone with an interest in the Little Bear Creek watershed to attend an open house Tuesday.
The event about the county’s conservation efforts is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Brightwater Community Meeting Room, 22505 Highway 9, Woodinville. The watershed covers 13 square miles and is home to nearly 4,000 households in Snohomish County. County stormwater specialists have been collecting data on the basin since 2014.
