Sno-Isle adds fuel-efficient vehicles, reduces energy use

Sno-Isle Libraries are getting greener. According to library district officials, the system has made tremendous energy savings in the past five years. Sno-Isle has implemented sophisticated Delta Controls energy management systems for efficiency and use less toxic Green Seal-certified cleaning practices. Improvements are also being made with Sno-Isle’s vehicles and a Prius was added to the fleet.

Community Health expands dental services in south Everett

Community Health Center of Snohomish County has expanded dental services at their Everett-South Clinic located at 1019 112th St. SW. The clinic now has a total of 18 dental chairs. This expansion will allow them to provide the community with 1,400 more dental appointments a month. Community Health Center serves the uninsured and underserved populations in Snohomish County.

Aerospace, defense symposium planned at JBLM

The 2016 Northwest Aerospace and Defense Symposium is scheduled for May 18 and 19 in the American Lake Conference Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The event is for middle and upper managers in the aerospace and defense industries that are interested in learning more about budgets, priorities and opportunities. SBA offers free webinars during National Small Business Week

The U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE and cosponsors from Colonial Life, Square, Inc., YP, Sam’s Club and Intuit are hosting numerous training webinars in celebration of National Small Business Week. Applications for City of Edmonds Lodging Tax Grants for 2017 are being accepted until June 1. The grants are to promote events and programs in Edmonds that attract visitors.
