Amazon is planning to hold a special hiring event in Everett on Friday as it ramps up seasonal hiring for the holidays.
The event is planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hampton Inn Everett, 2931 W. Marine View Drive, Everett. The online retailer plans to hire 120,000 seasonal employees across the country in its fulfillment and sorting centers and customer service sites.
The company expects to hire thousands of those workers in Washington state. Last year, more than 14,000 seasonal positions were transitioned to regular, full-time roles after the holidays and the company expects to increase that number this year.
