Forest Park Animal Farm: The farm is open for the season, just off Mukilteo Boulevard in Everett. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from June 24 through Aug. 20. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Learn more at everettwa.gov/773/Animal-Farm.

Summer Beach Days: Learn more about the creatures on your beaches. The Washington State University Extension Snohomish County Beach Watchers plan to offer free low tide exploration events this summer at Kayak Point County Park, 15711 Marine Drive NE, Stanwood; Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, 609 Front St., Mukilteo; and Olympic Beach, 200 Admiral Way, Edmonds. At Kayak Point, the WSU Beach Watchers will be on hand from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on June 25, 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. June 26, 1 to 3 p.m. June 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 10, noon to 2 p.m. July 11, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 23, 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. July 24, noon to 2 p.m. July 25, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 22.

In Mukilteo, Beach Watchers will be there from 10 a.m. to noon on June 23, 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. June 24, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 25, 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. July 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9, 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. July 22, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 23, 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. July 24, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 20, and 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Aug. 21.

At Olympic, times and dates are 1 to 3 p.m. on June 27, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 10, 9 to 11 a.m. July 21, noon to 2 p.m. July 25, and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 19.

History &Heritage Days at Lynnwood’s Heritage Park: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 8 and Aug. 12 at the park, 19921 Poplar Way. Tour the trolley, get a conductor’s hat, use the photo booth, visit the museum, watch a giant Lego trolley being built.

Imagine Children’s Museum: Located at 1502 Wall St., Everett. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Each third Friday of the month are free admission nights. Play indoors from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at no cost. More at imaginecm.org or 425-258-1006. For holders of Electronic Benefits Transfer cards, the museum admits four people for $3 each per card per visit. Paine Field: The Snohomish County Airport is home to several aviation attractions, including: Flying Heritage &Combat Armor Museum, Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour, Historic Flight Foundation and the Museum of Flight Restoration Center. Museum of Pop Culture: The museum (formerly EMP) at the Seattle Center, 325 Fifth Ave. N., has current exhibits about science fiction and fantasy, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Star Trek, indie games, the Seattle Seahawks, horror films and more. Burke Museum: The museum is at the corner of NE 45th Street and 17th Avenue NE in Seattle. Great exhibits about natural history and culture. More at www.burkemuseum.org.

Woodland Park Zoo: Seattle’s zoo, at 5500 Phinney Ave. N., is busy this summer. For information, go to www.zoo.org. The butterfly garden is back. Through Sept. 4, see 500 free-flying butterflies representing 15 species native to North America.

Seattle Aquarium: At 1483 Alaskan Way, the aquarium is a good place to take kids during long summer days. More information is available at www.seattleaquarium.org.
