The Assistance League of Everett recently awarded Nancy Juntwait the Ada Edwards Laughlin Award, a national award that honors longtime members and active volunteers. Juntwait has long been involved in the local Assisteens Auxiliary Program and the Kitty Young Auxiliary, and also helps at the Thrift Shop and helps organize social activities, among other activities.
Meanwhile, the new president of the all-volunteer group is Carla Hogan. Hogan has been with the nonprofit since 2013. She previously worked as an accounting professor at Shoreline Community College and as a certified public accountant.
Assistance League of Everett has been serving Snohomish County since 1965. One of the group’s most well-known programs, Operation School Bell, provides free clothing to children and kicks off its 2017-18 season this week. Learn more at www.assistanceleagueofeverett.org or call 425-252-3011.
