SNOHOMISH — A former lumber yard just south of Snohomish caught fire Saturday afternoon.
No one was injured, according to Snohomish County Fire District 4. A vacant building was destroyed.
The fire was reported about 2 p.m. along Airport Way, just across the river from First Street. There were explosions, apparently from battery components, according to firefighters.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Crews also responded from District 7 in Clearview and District 8 in Lake Stevens.
