MARYSVILLE — A man from the television show “Deadliest Catch” was reportedly assaulted Saturday evening after he left the Quil Ceda Creek Casino.
Jake Harris left the casino and got into a car with multiple people, according to police. They drove south and got onto Highway 526 in south Everett. At some point along the way, there was an altercation in the car.
Harris was beaten and robbed, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said Monday.
Harris was left injured in the 700 block of Highway 526, just down the road from the Boeing plant.
A witness called 911 for help.
When medics arrived, Harris initially refused to go to the hospital or file a police report.
Detectives now are working with Harris and his family to identify suspects. They do not know if the people involved in the attack previously knew each other, Snell said.
Officers also have not released what items were stolen.
Harris’ brother, Josh, who also was on the Discovery Channel fishing show, released a video saying that Jake Harris is recovering in an area hospital.
The Everett Police Department is investigating.
