YAKIMA — Officials say no one was injured when a small plane became disabled while landing on the runway at the Yakima Air Terminal.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that a M20K four-seater plane manufactured by Mooney Aircraft and registered to Gig Harbor was landing Thursday afternoon when it became disabled, forcing it to rest on its belly.
Airport Manager Rob Peterson said the pilot and single passenger were not hurt during the landing.
Peterson said the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating.
