EVERETT — Everett Community College and the Center of Excellence for Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing are in line for $3.9 million in grant money under a federal initiative that aims to boost high-tech job training programs.
The grant “will help Everett Community College equip students and job seekers with skills that are in demand, and at the same time, help employers find high-quality, diverse talent,” said Sen. Patty Murray.
The grants are part of $150 million set aside under the Obama administration’s TechHire Partnership, which is run by the U.S. Department of Labor.
