EVERETT — The City Council is set to award a bid for work on a new pedestrian bridge from Grand Avenue Park to the waterfront.
A vote is scheduled at Wednesday’s meeting. The lowest bid came from Burlington-based Interwest Construction for $13.8 million, documents show. The walkway is part of a larger project to replace aging pipes.
The location is in the area of Grand Avenue and 16th Street. Construction could start this summer and wrap up in late 2018.
Interwest also was involved in the Broadway bridge replacement.
