MARYSVILLE — A fire gutted a home in Marysville Monday afternoon.
No one was home at the time. However, two dogs that were inside died.
A neighbor in the 14500 block of 54th Drive NE called for help shortly after 1 p.m. Flames were coming from the home’s roof, said Christie Veley, a spokeswoman with the Marysville Fire District.
Firefighters from Marysville, Arlington and Getchell worked for more than an hour to extinguish the flames.
“The house is a total loss,” Veley said.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
