Island openings: The Island County Board of Commissioners seeks applicants to fill seats on the Marine Resources Committee and Water Resources Advisory Committee.
The deadline to apply for both advisory groups is April 3.
There also is an open seat on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee for a person to represent agricultural interests. The deadline to apply is April 24.

Stormwater plan: The city of Everett is seeking comments on a new stormwater management plan, which is designed to prevent runoff pollution from getting into waterways.

Preparedness talk: The Camano Island Women’s Republican Club meets at noon March 28 at Lost Lake Clubhouse, 1469 Lake Drive, Camano Island.
