EDMONDS — Detectives are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Wednesday night.
The crash was reported around 8 p.m. on 60th Avenue W near the intersection of 148th Street SW, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported.
An Edmonds man, 57, was traveling westbound on 148th Street SW at a high speed when witnesses said he crossed into the other lane and went off the road into a ditch, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. Two bystanders gave CPR, but the man died at the scene.
A stretch of road was closed for several hours for the accident investigation.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner is expected to confirm the man’s identity and determine the cause and manner of death.
