LYNNWOOD — Two people were taken to the hospital overnight after a two-vehicle crash on I-5 near Lynnwood.
The collision was reported around 11:40 p.m. just south of 164th Street SW, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.
Troopers reported that a minivan driven by an Everett woman, 49, stalled in the center lane.
It was hit by a car driven by an Everett man, 24. He is suspected of impaired driving, vehicular assault and hit and run, according to the crash memo.
Troopers reported that his car was traveling at a high rate of speed and making multiple lane changes before it struck the woman’s vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The crash created long backups.
