All of my life I was fortunate enough to have access to quality health care. For the majority of my life I was covered by medical insurance through my parents’ employers and then my own employers.
When I became disabled and didn’t have the resources to pay for an individual health insurance policy, I was scared to death. Upon my return to Everett I was fortunate enough to be referred to the Community Health Center of Snohomish County. I was skeptical. My last employer was Stanford Hospital and I was receiving health care through the prestigious Palo Alto Medical Foundation. But very quickly I realized that my care through CHC was excellent. CHC takes every step possible to make sure that quality health care is being rendered in the appropriate venues.
People don’t have to use hospital emergency rooms for primary health care. When I qualified for Medicare through my disability status I was free to seek care with other providers. But I chose to stay with CHC. The care I have received since 2003 has been excellent. And every CHC employee is dedicated to their mission of guiding their patients through the system and providing quality care and support.
So I say thank you Community Health Center of Snohomish County, as a patient and as a resident of Snohomish County. You are an asset to us all.
