Catching sight of the education funding fine daily tally at the bottom of the editorial page I was reminded of how education — or a lack thereof — so profoundly affected the outcome of the election. Even Trump, who himself is doesn’t seem to know euphony from euphemism, extolled the virtues of the uneducated. He knew he would need to rely on voters who hadn’t acquired the skills of basic, forensic, intellectual discernment to buy the con and ignore the facts. The reader who extols the “fairness” imparted by the electoral college failed to notice that those with the wrong ideas living in the wrong places are the ones that got their choice this time.
