Fast food workers really serious?

What is the real reason to pay a minimum of $15 an hour for your work? Fast Food work is an entry-level job to see if you can create a track record in a work setting for the following: be on time, learn customer service, work with others as part of a team, flexibility, etc. Once you have done this you have some options to move into management for a fast food chain, take those positive references and experiences and move on to something else or go back to school.

Now with all this talk about $15 an hour, a quick check of Craigslist, and other sources for part-time work yields the following under $15/hour jobs: educational assistants in our public schools, retail workers, day care workers, receptionists, certified nursing assistants, security guards, janitors, laborers. Why is no one talking about all these jobs? Will they be bumped up as well? But hey, it is not all bad news if fast food workers get $15/hour many fast food places will close and then maybe the obesity rates will decrease. And now back to my first question: $15 is more than $9.19, something learned early on in school, and if you can get someone forced into paying you that you get either a 63 percent bump in pay or you’re out of a job.
