Health? State only sees dollar signs

As I recall, the state received millions of dollars from the tobacco companies for lung cancer and other smoking-related issues. I am 62 years old. For many years in my youth the government claimed the tar in marijuana was worse on your lungs than cigarettes. Knowing this, why is our government now OK with legalizing it? I’ve seen no mention of any health-related issues pot may cause, nor have I seen any mention of smoking pot around young children. I used to be a cigarette smoker. Our state has taxed tobacco so much and changed the rules about where you cannot smoke that I quit.

This pot thing, for lack of a better description, is another state joke! And, they don’t have a clue as to what they’re getting into. They say the people have spoken. I say that’s the State seeing dollar signs again, just like they did with alcohol.
