Help us stand up for circus animals

Thinking of taking your family to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum &Bailey Circus on Aug. 23- 26? Please don’t. Know the truth on how circus animals are treated, especially behind the scenes. Elephants as young as three weeks old are ripped from their mothers, only to be chained and restrained up to 23 hours a day.

They are beaten into submission by several ways of torture; beatings, gouging with sharp bullhooks, shocked with electric prods, roped, chained and bound until they are broken. Most circus animals are all treated by these extremely abusive and cruel “training sessions.” Please know the facts by going to these sites, viewing the pictures, videos and read testimonies of past trainers. Then, please do the right thing and don’t go and support the circus. Speak up for these defenseless animals. You can also join a peaceful protest in front of the Comcast Area, Everett on Aug. 23-26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thank you for doing the right thing!
