His donors are also very wealthy

This is in rebuttal to the Thursday letter about Mitt Romney, “Elite retreat speaks volumes”: First, I know that those of us with more conservative leanings are not in favor of doing away with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or health insurance as the writer claims Romney donors are. Well, to be truthful, we are none too pleased about “Obamacare” and its many nuances, but that is not my reason for writing.

The letter writer was upset that a meeting was held at an “exclusive” resort for donors to Mitt Romney’s campaign. You can be certain that the U.S. taxpayer wasn’t paying for that get together as we have done for President Obama’s frequent, and pricey vacations for his family and friends. These have been at enormous expense at a time when many Americans are struggling. It would be nice to see him lead by example and curtail such travels. However, we should have learned to watch what he does, rather than listen to what he says!

Additionally, Obama flies around the country on our dime, appearing at fund-raising rallies where he is handed millions to further his campaign. Hollywood alone has handed him great sums and those funds certainly come from wealthy individuals.
