Last November, Initiative 1163 passed for the second time in three years. Clearly Washington citizens value protecting seniors and people with disabilities by requiring federal background checks and increased training to home-care workers.
Now some lawmakers are actually trying to repeal this straightforward initiative. Do they really believe they know better than the voters they represent? We have voted twice to protect seniors and people with disabilities.
Legislators must implement 1-1163 to protect our most vulnerable.
