We often hear the term “woman’s right to choose.” The question is, choose to do what? Like a man, a woman has the right to choose to be sexually active or not. If she and her sex partner choose to not produce a baby, there are a number of measures to choose from to keep that from happening. It truly is primarily about a woman’s rights and the sometimes very difficult decisions she must make.
However, only God can ignite the spark of life. And once a new life has been conceived, regardless of the circumstances, no one has the right to exterminate that life. This new, innocent little life also has rights, but unfortunately no opportunity to make a choice.
This is where you and I come in. We can choose to put people in public office who make laws to protect the sanctity of every life. All human life, regardless of age, stage of development, gender, race or ethnic background is equally precious and important to the creator of all life, almighty God.
