Wednesday’s column by John Burbank said that he would feel much safer flying in a plane that was built by well-compensated workers who are proud of their work and not worried about how they will make ends meet when they retire rather than by a demoralized and angry workforce. (“Smart to retire 401(k) plans for pensions.”)
I guess we should give in to all union’s demands because our lives may not be safe, or content, with workers such as policemen, fireman, teachers, machinists, etc., that don’t get what they want in a contract. I believe that almost all American workers are much better people and should not be demeaned by someone who thinks like John Burbank.
