Regarding the Thursday article, “Talk of new dam on Skykomish above falls resisted”: The proposed dam on the Skykomish River will forever damage one of the most beautiful rivers in Washington. I have loved the river where the Snohomish County PUD intends to desecrate this sacred flow for 50 years.
My two daughters, and now my grandson, have grown up loving the river. We have floated, fished, swam and numerous days, just sat and felt spiritually thankful peace provided by the Skykomish. I intend to do everything in my power to stop this project, and encourage others to not kill the river for kilowatts.
