Thank you for beautiful photo

Thank you so much for the beautiful picture Dan Bates took of our wedding for your Dec. 19 Local Section. We would also like to thank Rachael, a stranger who approached us, asked if this was a wedding, and offered to take our picture. We didn’t get her last name, but we hope she reads your paper so she knows how grateful we were.

Her enthusiasm and great photographic skills were much appreciated.

What neither of us had quite realized was how public the granting of civil rights is. We’ve seen it many times since November that Washingtonians who barely know us are happy for us and (justifiably) proud of themselves and the state for supporting Referendum 74. Thanks to everyone who voted for equality.
