Time to impose term limits

This is in response to the Tuesday letter “Only tool left is the ballot box”: There is another very powerful tool that we will be hearing more about after May 26. It is Article 5 of the U.S. Constitution, which gives us the opportunity to impose term limits on the U.S. Congress without their approval. When 34 states request a convention for a specific topic, an article 5 convention is called. It’s long past time for term limits to become a reality. If you truly want to see reform come to Congress and help our nation get back on track, this is a good start. Get the special interests (lobbyists) out of politics by helping this bipartisan effort move forward. The polls show that 75 percent of the public want term limits.
