Our castle doctrine is based on: Exodus 22:2 (New King James Version): If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed.
Our Founding Fathers recognized the need for self defense, thus, the Second Amendment was established. This amendment is also supported by the inalienable right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These are God given rights.
In the event that our lives or our families are threatened by an intruder or madman with a gun, a knife, or a club, we must always be able to respond with the necessary and appropriate force.
Restricting our rights of gun ownership and concealed carry makes us all vulnerable to attack.
These rights must never be taken away, or even watered down. To ban guns or rifles of any type will never solve this problem. The better and only solution that will work is to arm the citizens, the teachers, the pilots, truck drivers, and every willing adult. Of course, training should be mandatory on the proper and appropriate use of such weapons.
When criminals are forced to fear facing an armed citizenry, there would be a marked reduction of such behavior. Their chances of success would certainly be severely limited.
On a similar note, I recently returned from a trip to Israel. At En Gedi, we saw approximately 300 high school students on an outing with several armed guards accompanying them everywhere they went.
Just yesterday, I was sent a picture of a group of kindergarten children, also in Israel, and their teacher had a rifle over her shoulder…
The world should applaud this approach and replicate it everywhere.
Please, let’s defend and uphold our Second Amendment and castle doctrines whenever we have the opportunity. Our lives and well-being depend on it!
