Last week, and again today, I received a mailer denouncing one of the candidates for Jay Inslee’s old job. It had three Internet links where there was to be all sorts of salacious material calling-out the candidate as a fraud, etc.
The typeface was “squint print” so I had to use a magnifying glass to read them (each over 50-characters in length) and when I got there, I saw nothing defamatory. Of course, the flyer had a name, Progress for Washington, but the return address was a P.O. Box in Kirkland. There were no phone numbers or Internet addresses. Totally anonymous.
If political stuff comes along to your mailbox and has no authorship listed, it should just be considered another scurrility and tossed in the trash unread.
