For me, the recent school shooting has been more than heart breaking; I feel an urgency deep inside to put a stop to this craziness! A lot of people have mentioned more gun control, and while that’s an obvious good place to start, what about the increasing violence in movies and video games? It’s like we can’t get enough of violence and killing. (Some recent movie premieres have been postponed because their violent messages came too close in time after the shootings.)
I wish there were easy answers, but gun control, reducing violence in movies and video games are both good places to start along with teaching children from day one that each person’s life has value. We can’t let the violence continue to go unchecked.
