I have no words right now to adequately talk about what just happened here. And given that I’m about to write about it, that could be a problem. But wow, what a way to end these Olympics. Somehow this huge, over-hyped matchup exceeded expectations.
Canada takes a commanding 2-0 lead, and the U.S. comes back and ties it with 24.4 seconds left? Amazing. Then in a sudden death-overtime, Canada’s best player, Sidney Crosby, makes up for a third-period blunder and scores the game winner. From what I’ve heard, it’s mayhem on the streets right now.
OK, time to gather my thoughts and write a coherent story about it.
Did I already say, wow?
