Everett prospect goaltender Carter Hart, the team’s eighth-round pick in the 2013 bantam draft, tweeted this out Sunday:
Blessed to have signed with @WHLsilvertips Thank you to everyone who has helped me reach this milestone #grateful #excitedThe team has not confirmed the signing. However, the 15-year-old from Sherwood Park, Alberta, is having a fantastic season. He’s currently the top-ranked goaltender in the Alberta Midget Minor Hockey League at 12-3-3 with a 1.86 goals against average and .938 save percentage. Statistics in a 15-year-old midget league can’t necessarily be taken at face value because you don’t know whether a goaltender is backstopping a dominant team that makes goaltending easy. However, as best as I can tell, Hart’s team isn’t dominating, so his numbers are probably legit.

Hart would be the first player from the 2013 bantam draft to sign with the Tips, as Everett is still waiting out first rounder Tyson Jost.
As for the current team, it remains banged up. Injured forwards Manraj Hayer (lower body), Jujhar Khaira (upper body), Zane Jones (upper body), Logan Aasman (finger) and Tyler Sandhu (upper body) did not practice today, so they’re unlikely to play Tuesday when the Tips travel to Kent to take on Seattle. Defenseman Ben Betker (undisclosed) was on the ice today, so he may be able to return Tuesday. All six sat out Saturday’s 5-4 overtime victory over Spokane, forcing Everett to play two skaters short.
