The Seattle Boat Show runs Jan. 27-Feb. 5 at the CenturyLink Field Event Center, 800 Occidental Ave. South, Seattle. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. To 8 p.m.; Fridays, 11 a.m. To 9 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. To 8 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. To 6 p.m. (except the last Sunday when it closes at 4 p.m.). Tickets are $12 for adults (five-day pass $24); $5 for youth 11 to 17; and free for kids 10 and under, available online at www.seattleboatshow.com.
Boats and exhibits of note at the Clink include: The all new Boston Whaler 210 Montauk, the largest of this model ever built, at the 25,000-square-foot Lake Union Sea Ray display, the largest at the show. It will feature 75 to 80 sport boats, cruisers, fishing boats and yachts, including the Northwest premiere of the all-new Sea Ray 450 Sedan Bridge with Diesel Zeus-Pod joystick control.
Stabicraft will debut a 28-foot pilothouse, great for fishing.
Starcraft’s new 20-foot Extreme is designed specifically for the waters of the Pacific Northwest.
Between Cobalt and Malibu boats, Seattle Boat Company will have more new models than they’ve ever featured at a January show — Cobalt 220, 26SD, 273, and A28; Malibu Response Txi and 22 MXV.
Ocean Alexander is now the official dealer for Tiara Yachts and will display a 3100 Coronet, which offers “big boat attitude and small boat handiness,” according to Boating Magazine.
And while at the show, be sure to stop by to view the grand prize in this year’s Northwest Salmon Derby Series — a 21-foot welded aluminum River Hawk, with a newly designed Mercury 150-horse, four-stroke Verado outboard, and Karavan trailer, fully outfitted with Scotty ‘riggers, Lowrance electronics and dual stereo system.
The boat goes to some lucky derby fisherman at the end of the season, whose derby entry stub from any one of the 14 series events is drawn at random. The more derbies you fish the better chance you have to win, starting immediately after the show with the Roche Harbor Salmon Classic, Feb. 2-4, and finishing with the Resurrection Derby in Friday Harbor, Dec. 7-8.
