Prep baseball: Glacier Peak 7, Shorecrest 3

SNOHOMISH — Glacier Peak struck for six runs in the fourth inning to eliminate Shorecrest from the 3A District 1 Tournament.

None of the Grizzlies’ six singles in the fourth were particularly well-struck, with Glacier Peak head coach Bob Blair describing them as a mixture of “seeing-eye singles and Texas Leaguers,” but Blair praised his team’s patience in the inning and noted that starter Christian Jarnagin threw well to keep Glacier Peak in the game.

Hayden McNabb and Ted Hammond each hit a double to lead the Shorecrest offense.

Glacier Peak will play Meadowdale in another loser-out playoff game today at Meadowdale H.S.
