MOUNT VERNON — Eric Meece scored 25 points, but the Loggers fell short with their fourth-quarter rally in a Northwest 1A/2B loss to Mount Vernon Christian. After trailing by six points with 36 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Darrington had a chance to tie the game but missed a contested layup at the buzzer. James Hurd scored 16 points for the Hurricanes.
