Prep girls soccer: Archbishop Murphy 2, Marysville Pilchuck 1

EVERETT — Cecilia Nguyen set up both goals for Archbishop Murphy and Brooke Richardson scored the game-winner with 10 minutes to go to help the Wildcats win the nonleague match.

Amanda Klep of Marysville Pilchuck scored first in the 20th minute with an assist from Alex Wright.

“We jumped all over them and didn’t get anything, then they got a really good opportunity,” said Wildcats head coach Michael Bartley. “Klep put it right in the corner, it was awesome.”

Archbishop Murphy went into halftime down 1-0, but fortunately for Michael Bartley the Wildcats were able to come back in a game he calls the “Battle of the Brothers.” Marysville Pilchuck is coached by his brother Paul Bartley.
