Prep softball: Jackson 10, Kamiak 7

MUKILTEO — Jessica Roy hit her fifth home run of the season, a solo shot in the first inning to start Jackson on the path to a win in its Wesco 4A South opener. Sophie Frost pitched a complete game, striking out 11 and giving up two runs. Four Knights hit doubles in the loss, including Shelby Merk who batted 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
