Seahawks vs. Lions lineup notes: Detroit short on the O line

Here are the inactives for Saturday’s playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions at CenturyLink Field:

SEATTLE

Inactive: WR Kasen Williams, RB C.J. Prosise, RB Terrence Magee, LB Ronald Powell, G Rees Odhiambo, TE Nick Vannett, DT Tony McDaniel.

Notes: The most interesting development is that tackle Bradley Sowell is active again, meaning Odhiambo is inactive this week. Sowell, who was left inactive the previous two weeks after losing the starting job at right tackle to Garry Gilliam, undoubtedly is active as insurance as a long snapper, with Tyler Ott taking over for the injured Nolan Frese this week. However, it does take away some flexibility on the offensive line as Odhiambo can play both guard and tackle while Sowell is just a tackle. Prosise (shoulder) misses his seventh straight game, but he was seen on the field during warm-ups getting some work. McDaniel (concussion) is Seattle’s other injury loss.

DETROIT

Inactive: QB Jake Rudock, WR Jace Billingsley, CB Alex Carter, FB Mike Burton, LB Antwione Williams, C Travis Swanson, T Riley Reiff.

Notes: This is a worst-case scenario for the Lions’ offensive line as both Swanson (concussion) and Reiff (hip), who are starters, are unable to go. Both had been considered questionable, though Swanson was downgraded Friday, and now Detroit will have to deal with Seattle’s Pro Bowl defensive ends Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril while short-handed. However, starting linebacker DeAndre Levy (knee) and back-up receiver Andre Roberts (shoulder), who were also considered questionable, will dress.
