Seahawks WR Sidney Rice probable for Sunday; CB Thurmond ruled out

The Seahawks should have their leading receiver Sunday, with Sidney Rice practicing fully Friday after missing the previous two days. They will be down a starting cornerback, however, with Walter Thurmond ruled out because of a hamstring injury suffered

Thurmond was int he starting lineup because Brandon Browner is serving a four-game suspension, so the Seahawks depth will be tested now with either Byron Maxwell or Jeremy Lane starting, and the other playing significant snaps in Seattle’s nickel packages. Carroll wouldn’t give away his plan, but both see significant playing time with Marcus Trufant still out with a hamstring injury.

“We’ll play all those guys in the rotation,” Carroll said. “Jeremy Lane and Bryron are ready to go.”

Receiver Charly Martin, who suffered a calf injury in practice this week, has been placed on injured reserve. No corresponding move has been made yet, Carroll said. It would seem likely the Seahawks would sign a receiver off their practice squad, because Martin’s injury means they only have four receivers on the active roster.
