We’re now two days removed from Seattle’s NFC championship game victory, but Richard Sherman is still the big topic of conversation.

In today’s Herald, Pete Carroll says he talked with Sherman, and both sides agree the cornerback went a bit too far. In non-Sherman news, we also have a notebook updating Seattle’s injury situation, and an odd sideline incident involving Jeremy Lane.

Yahoo! Sports’ Dan Wetzel with a very good take on Sherman.

Don Lupica of the NY Daily News says Sherman has already become the face of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Grantland.com’s Louisa Thomas with another good take on the situation.

Over at NJ.com, a pretty funny quiz asking “who said it, Richard Sherman or NJ governor Chris Christie?” It’s harder that you might think.

Peter King of the TheMMQB.com tries to figure out why there is so much interest in this Sherman story, noting that what the cornerback wrote for the website Monday was their most read story since launching TheMMQB.com six months ago.

If you’re tired of reaction to Sherman’s words, FieldGulls.com has a nice breakdown of his game-clinching play.

Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks says this is the perfect Super Bowl matchup, one that really doesn’t need hype.

TheMMQB.com with a story on Russell Wilson and how Seattle fans embrace him.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano says Peyton Manning’s legacy as the greatest QB ever is already secure, regardless of what happens on Feb. 2.
