The Edmonds Arts Commission presents a free family concert featuring children’s entertainers Buck &Elizabeth performing their show “Making Our Friends Along the Trail” Thursday, July 28.
Buck and Elizabeth, along with their “son” Peter (actually, Peter is a puppet and Elizabeth is a ventriloquist), will perform past crowd favorites “Funky Monkey,” “Ants in my Pants” and “Macaroni Song,”along with new songs from their most recent recording. In 1989 they settled in the Northwest and used their talents to create the highly successful “Education Through Entertainment” program, which they have brought to many Washington schools. The song writing process they developed is called U-2 Can Write, which has produced 100 songs, and a half a dozen CD’s collaboratively written by local children.
The concert takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Frances Anderson Center Amphitheater, located at 700 Main Street in downtown Edmonds. Bring lunch and a blanket for this all ages event.
