Seattle Hill Road closed between Mill Creek, Snohomish

MILL CREEK – Racing water has washed out the road leading down Seattle Hill between Mill Creek and Snohomish, according to the state Department of Transportation.

A culvert collapsed and the water has eaten away the road. Road crews have shut down the road and will be on hand while crews shut down utilities in the area. It is unclear how long it will take to repair the road.

“We have to wait until the water level drops and see how we can fix it,” said Myly Posse with the state transportation department.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
