Farmers Markets: When they open, where they are

After a particularly long winter, with signs of spring around us, we are hungry for fresh fruit and vegetables.

We want food grown near us by people we know.

One way to get that local food is from farmers markets, which are beginning to set up all over the place.

Check our list for the market nearest you, or find one farther afield as a bonus for a trip on other business. Stick your market tote and your produce bag in your car or bicycle basket and dream of newly-laid eggs, fragrant herbs and seasonal vegetables so fresh that bits of earth still cling to them.
