Wesco North 3A/2A

Monroe 6, Everett 5

MONROE — Down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning with the tying run at third and the winning run at second, Monroe junior Vivian Knuckey delivered a line-drive hit to center field to bring both home for a walk-off win. The clutch hit keeps Monroe (11-5 overall, 5-1 league) half a game ahead in first place with two league games remaining. Knuckey (2-for-4, 3 RBI) led the game in RBI and brought in both Scarlett Nagy (3-for-4, SB, 2B, 2 runs) and Hadley Oylear (2-for-4, RBI, 2 runs) on the game-winning hit — the game’s only multi-run scorers. The Seagulls (7-9, 2-4) had no shortage of offense on the day, as both Mia Hoekendorf (1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, run) and Alyssa Iverson (1-for-3, HR, RBI, run) homered in the loss.

Stanwood 11, Marysville Getchell 6

MARYSVILLE — The Spartans (14-2, 4-1) stayed within striking distance of first place in the league standings thanks to a brilliant hitting day from Addi Anderson and Rubi Lopez. Anderson (2-for-2, SB, 2 HR, 2 RBI, 4 runs) homered in the third and fourth innings and drew three walks to get on base consistently. Lopez (3-for-5, 2 SB, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 2 runs) doubled twice to round out Stanwood’s four extra-base hits on the game. Reagan Ryan (2-for-4, 3 SB, RBI, 2 runs) stole three bases to lead Stanwood, which stole eight bases combined and went 11-for-31 with nine walks. The Chargers (7-10, 1-5) had a decent offensive showing as well, going 11-for-33 as a team. Lilyana Balgos (3-for-4, 2B, 3 runs) scored half of Marysville Getchell’s runs.

Non-league

Archbishop Murphy 21, Marysville Pilchuck 1 (5)

MARYSVILLE — The Wildcats (11-5) earned their second 20-run win in as many days, going 20-for-36 for five extra-base hits and 10 stolen bases. Maddie Evans (3-for-3, 2 SB, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI, 4 runs) scored a game-high four times while Sarah Fletcher (3-for-5, SB, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 runs) had a consistent day on offense. Fletcher also pitched the whole way, striking out seven while allowing two hits and one earned run. Individual stats were not reported for Marysville Pilchuck (6-6).
