One, straight up with mustard: A hot dog stand has opened across from Comcast Arena in Everett and offers Chicago-style and New York-Style dogs and a frank with cream cheese and peppers called Seattle-style.

We would have thought a Seattle-style hot dog would be served with an 8-ounce nonfat latte for dipping. (Oh, like that’s any less appetizing than putting ketchup on a dog.)

A bit fuzzy on the concept of “crocodile handbag”: A foot-long baby crocodile escaped from carry-on luggage on a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Egypt, causing panic among the passengers.

Samuel L. Jackson quickly insisted he would not be doing a sequel to “Snakes on a Plane.”

Hand me the remote: The Everett AquaSox will inaugurate its new video screen at Everett Memorial Stadium tonight for replays and “fan interaction.” The screen, above the center field fence, is 16 feet long and 26 feet wide, and will be the largest in the Northwest League.

We’ll make our plea now to the AquaSox front office: Please, between innings, do not show those annoying hydro races like the Mariners do at Safeco Field.
