EVERETT — A Moses Lake woman accused of plotting to kill her husband has been charged with first-degree attempted domestic violence murder.
Terry Beavin, 49, planned to drug her husband and then stab him while he slept, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Paul Stern wrote in charging papers filed Thursday.
Investigators believe Beavin planned to buy a knife and pills while visiting Everett, then return to Grant County to carry out the murder. She also is accused of trying to recruit her teenage son to help her. She promised to share her husband’s Social Security benefits with her son if he helped, Stern wrote.
The boy revealed the plot to a school resource officer who had noticed a change in the teen’s behavior.
Beavin alledgedly told investigators that her husband had been abusing her for years. She also accused of him of abusing another family member.
She is being held on $250,000 bail.
