Woman killed in accident crossing Lynnwood street
LYNNWOOD - A woman in her 50s has died after being hit by a car Thursday while crossing a Lynnwood street.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was attempting to cross the 5300 block of 168th Street SW around 7:30 p.m. when she was hit by a car, Lynnwood police Cmdr. Jim Nelson said.
She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she died Thursday night.
The woman was not in a marked crosswalk and the speed of the car doesn't appear to have been a factor, Nelson said.
Traffic detectives continue to investigate. No arrests have been made.
