Donate to bake sale
The Opthalmology Department at the Everett Clinic is hosting a fundraiser bake sale Friday in Everett.
It marks the one-year anniversary of the death of employee Melissa Agerup. She and her husband, Brad, and two friends, Tom and Hilda Woods, were killed in a DUI accident on Highway 9.
The bake sale is planned for 9 a.m. to noon at 3830 Hoyt Ave., Everett, and proceeds go to an education plan for the Agerup family.
To donate baked goods, drop items off at the clinic’s information desk as early as 7:15 a.m. Friday in the Founders Building, 3901 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
They also will pick up baked goods.
Plan for the animals: Those interested in planning for animal welfare during and after an emergency are invited to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at 811 N. Sunrise Blvd., on Camano Island.

Learn how to quit smoking at clinic: Information on how to quit smoking, anti-smoking patches and nicotine gum will be available Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. in front of the Medical Office Building on the Colby campus of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, 1330 Rockefeller Ave.
Also available will be “Inside Out — The Original Organ Show,” a presentation that shows the effects of smoking, drinking and unhealthy eating on human organs.
