Arlington: Program by Red Rooster Tour

The Arlington Garden Club plans to hear a program by the nonprofit Red Rooster Farm Tour in the Arlington area.

The garden club plans to meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Gleneagle Family Restaurant, 7619 E. Country Club Drive, Arlington. Those who attend do not need to buy lunch, but it is available. Guests are welcome.

Connie Foster of Fosters’ Country Market and Carol McCrorie of the Lavender Hills Farm plan to speak.

Genealogy library has new hours

The Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society and Library has new hours for the new year.

The library is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays at 135 N. Olympic Ave. Parking is available across the street.

Society members are available to help people trace family history. Society membership is $15, but one does not have to be a member to use the library.

Camano Island: County commissioner plans to give talk

Island County Commissioner Angie Homola plans to talk about the year ahead in county government at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camano Multi-Purpose Center, 141 East Camano Drive.

Sponsored by the Camano Island Democrats, the meeting is open to people of all political persuasions.

Everett: DAR chapter plans to meet

Daughters of the American Revolution Marcus Whitman Chapter meets at 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Lutheran Church, 2702 Rockefeller Ave, in Everett.

Marysville: Dads and daughters dance

The Marysville Parks and Recreation office is planning to begin taking registrations on Monday for the annual Father–Daughter Valentine’s Dance.

Dances are scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 5 and 12 at Cedarcrest Middle School. Fathers and daughters of all ages are invited to the event. The cost is $15 per couple, and $5 for each additional daughter attending the same dance.

Cedarcrest Middle School is located at 6400 88th St. NE in Marysville.

Stanwood: Mayor to give state of city

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce’s January general meeting features Stanwood Mayor Dianne White and her annual state of the city presentation.

The meeting is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Stanwood-Camano School District administration building, 26920 Pioneer Highway.

Lunch, catered by Blackbird Cafe, is $11. Lunch reservations must be made by Tuesday by calling Stacy at the chamber office, 360-629-0562. The public is invited and lunch is not required.
